SUMMER 2004
Ave Maria by Perry Como
July 30
Many times I told Mom not to leave me.
I assured her that it was a privilege
to take care of her!
Kim said, “Grandma is afraid to leave you and that I
had to let go!”
Mom’s birthday was July 30th.
That evening I told her if she was tired
and wanted to dance with Daddy – it was OK.
July 31
During her Birthday Party in the garage,
Mom passed away – But, only after she tasted
her birthday cake –
Which is exactly how I want to go.
Mom and I Love our sweets.

Passion Flowers
I kissed and hugged Mom for the last time.
As I came out of the garage I saw the
first two “Passion” flowers
blooming up high on the vine.
Mom was telling me that she and Dad were dancing.

Later that day
I was watering the hanging plants ,
when a butterfly (just like this one)
flew on a branch above me and stayed frozen there.
Through my tears I could see the face of Jesus in it’s wings.
I knew I was Blessed.
(PS. I’m not Crazy – look up Jesus and Butterflies on Google!)
